Yeah, I had the same issue. I had to click on his speech bubbles to make him do his spiel about each drink before I made them.

I'm using the itch launcher, maybe that's the issue. I used the download button you took a picture of, but I'm not sure if it downloaded the files properly. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I have this game downloaded, probably from the ludum dare website, and like it; but the Itch download seems to be having issues for me. It says:

Unable to parse Build/WebGL.framework.js.gz! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header "Content-Encoding: gzip" present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug.

Sorry if this is a simple bug and I'm being a fool.

I played a bit of the game and didn't encounter anything else major. I just figured it wasn't a good sign.

In the start menu there is a button labeled "more" attached to a gallery. If you click on any of the images there is a steam logo, which throws up a "you must log in to see this content" error. I haven't even started a save and I have already encountered an issue. This does not bode well.

This font, or perhaps just its size on the screen, made it slightly difficult to read. I would have liked a text resize option.

I know the devs, regardless, this game is a very intriguing MVP. I think with a bit of polish this could become a well liked niche game. I shared a few nitpicks with one of the devs earlier, but by far my biggest critique is that the difficulty curve seems to be shallow. Whatever the RNG throws at you will either make or break your run early, but once you get past the start it's basically smooth sailing. Or maybe I just had dream luck.

Regardless, this was an enjoyable 4 hours, more than I thought I had played.

I got far into Lyell's route, and the writing started to feel like it was translated from another language. I have no idea if this was originally written in english or not, but it was kinda weird. I didn't notice it earlier in the story, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. IDK.

Edit: I went back to the beginning of the story, the writing style was there. I don't know why I didn't notice it earlier.

Ah yes, an undiagnosed/untreated anxiety disorder causing problems with my family. This game is hitting a bit too close to home for me in the first act.

I played through once, as far as I could tell you cannot. Perhaps someone else knows better than me though.

Solid text based point and click game. I'll have to come back to this in 42 years, and see just how outdated this vision of the future is.
